My life journey so far:)

Hello professor and my lovely classmates,

I am Stuti Shah, I am twenty-nine old and I am an immigrated to the United States from India nine years ago. As a new immigrant I have faced many challenges in this country. However, these challenges have made me the person I am today. I have missed India terribly since coming here. Yet, I have not let my desire for my country overshadows my new life here. Instead, I have found a way to create an accord between the American and Indian culture, but each culture remains in its own entity.

As I entered adolescence in India I began to focus on my academic goals. Before coming to the States I received a Bachelor in Computer Science Degree. I also became interested in the science field so I went on studying Biology, chemistry, Anatomy & physiology. After taking Science classes I challenged myself even a high Academic status. With this aspiration and a great interest in science I did a degree in a surgical Technologist. I have been working as a surgical technologist since 5 years and now training for open heart surgery.
My strength is what I have gained from my work experiences as a Surgical Technologist in health care. I have developed marvelous organizational and communication skills by working in the Hospital. This experience would benefit me through out my career of Physician Assistant program. My weakness is that I m quicker in completing tasks. But I think now I’ve managed to work in steady way with more perfection.
Now is the time for me to deal with goal of a great career. I believe that all of my life experiences have been necessary to bring me to this point. I am mentally prepared and persistent enough to excel at any endeavor, and have developed the compassion and commitment to the Physician Assistant program that will drive me through the years to come. I look forward to my future by great expectation, and know that the time has finally come for me to realize my dreams.

I still miss my high school friends and family who lives in India. They are a big part of my journey so far. without their encourage, I would not be here today.
